This blog feature amusing and heartwarming stories about our late Leonberger dog Bronco, as well as other Leonbergers. It also has a lot of information about the Leonberger breed, the history, care, training, Leonberger organizations, etc. I also wrote a Leonberger book, which I am featuring in the sidebar.
The Winding Road by Miriam Hurdle Is Free Today
The most gripping and well written survival story I have ever read, The Winding Road by Miriam Hurdle is free on Amazon today. That is to commemorate the release of the book and the day she discovered she had a very dangerous form of cancer. This is your opportunity to get the Kindle version for free. Click here for the free book on Amazon. Check her post in the reblog below for additonal places.
My name is Thomas Wikman. I am a software/robotics engineer with a background in physics. I am currently retired. I took early retirement. I am a dog lover, and especially a Leonberger lover, a home brewer, craft beer enthusiast, I’m learning French, and I am an avid reader. I live in Dallas, Texas, but I am originally from Sweden. I am married to Claudia, and we have three children. I have two blogs. The first feature the crazy adventures of our Leonberger Le Bronco von der Löwenhöhle as well as information on Leonbergers. The second blog, superfactful, feature information and facts I think are very interesting. With this blog I would like to create a list of facts that are accepted as true among the experts of the field and yet disputed amongst the public or highly surprising. These facts are special and in lieu of a better word I call them super-facts.

“Gripping” is right, Thomas. It was a difficult story to read emotion-wise, but I couldn’t put it down. Everyone should read Miriam’s book!
Yes the book’s intelligent and honest writing on this difficult subject helps make us better prepared. It happens to a lot of us. I wish I had read this book before it happened to my mother.
Assuming you mean my mom, she got a cancer called multiple myeloma and she died. She was relatively young when she died, 56 years old. About Miriam, she got a very dangerous cancer and she was close to death but she had a lot of support and spirit and she was able to fight and survive. It could happen to any of us at any time, at any age, which is why this book is important.
I’m very sorry to hear about your mom.
I’m glad Mirism could survive. The new advancements can help alot though if its caught too late it can be lethal.
I might have to check that book out!
Thomas, as you know I loved this book and lovely that you are sharing news about its birthday and Miriam’s two-day offer! Hope it finds many new readers!
I’m a member of We Love MN memoirs. They have many members. They posted my promotion on their FB. I also posted on many indie authors FB groups. I got lots of help.
