Dog Humor 5

We are currently having heavy thunderstorms and heavy rain and this is Rollo today

Which cartoons did you like?

We are having a very rainy day with heavy thunderstorms. Our mini-Australian Shepherd Rollo is not having a good day. How is your day?

My name is Thomas Wikman. I am a software/robotics engineer with a background in physics. I am currently retired. I took early retirement. I am a dog lover, and especially a Leonberger lover, a home brewer, craft beer enthusiast, I’m learning French, and I am an avid reader. I live in Dallas, Texas, but I am originally from Sweden. I am married to Claudia, and we have three children. I have two blogs. The first feature the crazy adventures of our Leonberger Le Bronco von der Löwenhöhle as well as information on Leonbergers. The second blog, superfactful, feature information and facts I think are very interesting. With this blog I would like to create a list of facts that are accepted as true among the experts of the field and yet disputed amongst the public or highly surprising. These facts are special and in lieu of a better word I call them super-facts.

    1. Yes you are right Alex. I think they are all funny. I think the first one matches our Rollo pretty well though. He did so well in obedience school. I think he was best in class, but at home it didn’t work so well.

    1. Thank you so much Sue. I thought they were all funny too. I especially liked the first one because that is so much like Rollo. Best in class at training school and then worst in the neighborhood when he comes home.

  1. These are all so funny, especially the cake frosting one, the 5 second rule one, and the genie one!

I love a rainy, thunderstorm day! We had that about 10 a.m. this morning and for quite awhile up here. It’s kind of drying out now, but still cloudy and windy. 🙂

    1. Yes I agree, the cake frosting one is great. We’ve had thunderstorms all day. Yours seems to have started earlier. Perhaps it is the same storm moving east. We still have some thunder but it is calming down. But the rain will allegedly continue all night.

  2. These are terrific, Thomas. I wish we could have some of your rain. We are supposed to get some later but it always seems to pass us up. Oh I see by the clock it is VooDoo Ranger time. Have a great evening.

    1. I am not sure about smarter, but I’ve been played by dogs. Like when our little Japanese Shin Ryu started ignoring our “come” command and to get him to come back we started giving him a treat when we called “come” and he was in the backyard. Guess who started going outside to the backyard a lot more often. They can trick you.

      1. That dog was probably toilet trained to go inside like you said, but never going for a walk does not sound healthy, unless he was playing ball with him a lot. Well even so he must have had very limited sniffing experience.

    2. LOL it is not easy. Bronco was relatively easy to potty train. He was done at 4 months, but then he had period later on when he decided to go back on it. I saw some people on TV who had a raccoon for a pet and they toilet trained him successfully. He became so attached to the house that he refused to go outside. Imagine a wild animal refusing to set foot outside.

      1. Wow, toilet trained a raccoon with success! That’s incredible. 😍 Bronco did well also. My old neighbor had a dog and they never took him for a walk or even let him go to the backyard. He must be toilet trained.

    1. That’s interesting information about Snoopy and Woodstock and the videos are fun. BTW did you notice that two of the videos have been blocked since you posted. That’s the risk with hot linking, but I’ve done the same. I am not as familiar with Snoopy as most Americans because I grew up in Sweden where other cartoons were more common when I was a kid. Anyway, thank you for pointing me to your fun blog post.

      1. Oh, in this movie, John Cusack played a hitman, and one of the subplots was that a hitman associate of his was trying to start a hitman union. John Cusack’s character did not want to join the union because he didn’t want to have to attend meetings … 😁
