The Fiercest and Most Dangerous Dog in the World

The video below from animal watch feature 15 fierce and dangerous dogs including Dogo Argentino, Rottweiler, the pit bull and others. But which dog is the most fierce and dangerous dog? There is a dog that is more fierce and powerful than any lion; the most dangerous dog in the world, the #1 on the list, the lion dog, it is the Leonberger. Yes, if you read some of the posts on this blog you will laugh. The most dangerous dog in the world is the goofy, friendly and happy Leonberger, the big teddy bear that every child loves to hug. There is some truth to it though, Leonbergers are very strong and powerful and will protect you and your home fiercely. Our Leonberger Bronco saved the neighborhood from a peeping Tom terrorizing the neighborhood. This is a long video but to see the segment on Leonbergers fast-forward to 19:38. That’s just one and a half minute.

The fiercest and most powerful dogs in the world. Which one is #1?

Like the video says, if bored they tend to chew on things and they have very powerful jaws among the most powerful jaws in the dog world. We lost our wedding album. My wife was so mad that our Leonberger chose to destroy the wedding album instead of let’s say encyclopedia Britannica.

To be honest though, I think that the most dangerous dog in the world is our mini-Australian Shepherd Rollo (see below). Don’t mind the stroller, that’s just to avoid scary snakes and frogs. Wouldn’t you want to avoid scary snakes and frogs? Quacking ducks scare him, but not much else. OK maybe everything else scares him too, but he is still the fiercest dog according to some opinions.

It wasn’t smart of us to keep the wedding album in our bookshelf instead of in a drawer or something. We came home, open the front door, and there we saw him standing in front of the bookshelf vigorously shaking his head with the wedding album in his mouth. Photographs and pages were flying around the room. Of course, he picked what we valued the most in that bookshelf. My wife was so mad.

Ha ha, yes, he really didn’t like to be left alone. Maybe it was personal. About Rollo, he was so afraid of the outside for a while that it was very difficult to walk him. He got scared of anything he saw or heard and wanted to run home or sit in Daisy’s stroller. We bought that stroller for our old and arthritic pug so she could walk a little and then sit in the stroller during our walks. However, he wanted to come up and sit in it whenever he heard a strange sound. I should say he is not as afraid anymore and we can have normal walks with him now. Have a great weekend you too.

Yes anxiety is the right word. He is the most anxious dog we’ve ever had. He was anxious the day we took him home but he learned to trust us quickly and he learned to trust Bronco quickly. The outside was still scary though but it is getting better and better. He hasn’t asked to go in the stroller for I think almost a year.

Thank you Avigail. Yes he’s come a long way. Rollo was the last one from his litter and considering how anxious and scared he was when we picked him up that might have been the reason no one else had picked him. However, he warmed up quickly to Bronco and was soon climbing on him, sitting on his head like a hat, biting his tail and even swinging in his tail like Tarzan one time. Luckily Bronco put up with it, but we tried to stop that behavior whenever we saw it. Rollo is four years old now and has gotten over most of his fear but he still has some anxiety, especially with loud noises and storms. Bronco it seemed was not afraid of anything at all.

Our Japanese Chin Ryu feared Petland. We could not go near that store. Petland was where we got Ryu. We didn’t know about puppy mills at the time. Our German Shepherd Baby was scared to death every time there was a thunderstorm. Our Labrador Baylor and our pug Daisy weren’t afraid of much (well we still have Daisy). Bronco was our most unafraid dog though and Rollo our most fearful.

I could believe that. I found the selection of the Leonberger as the fiercest dog in the world to be somewhat comical. Leonbergers can lick your face pretty hard though. I should say it is not totally off because they are strong. Once when an aggressive rottweiler accosted Bronco, Bronco just calmly pressed him down towards the ground with his paws and used his weight to keep him there. It looked funny.

Guilty as charged and watched the whole thing with no time to do that,. lol Fun video and you are too funny that your cute mini aussie might be the most dangerous of all. I rescued what turned out to be a pit from a fire..he was adorable until a fight broke out with a lab and the power of that mouth drew blood at the juggler and it too 3 people to get him off. Let’s just say he didn’t start the fight but he finished it! It was terrifying.
