This post is mostly photos of our late Leonberger Bronco and our mini-Australian Shepherd Rollo. As you may know Bronco was a remarkable and brave Leonberger who saved the lives of our other dogs on two occasions, rescued run away hamsters, and liberated my wife and the women in our neighborhood from a nightly peeping Tom. Well, he also did a lot of less desirable but funny things. Bronco lived a long life for a Leonberger and was therefore awarded the Grey Muzzle Award and the Leonberger Health Foundation International wanted his DNA.
We got Rollo four years ago. Our little Rollo and Bronco were best buddies. Rollo climbed all over Bronco, bit his tail and even dangled in it like a swing one time. Rollo wanted to play with Bronco all the time and Bronco was very accepting of his rambunctiousness. Unfortunately, Rollo lost his buddy when Bronco passed away. Things have not been the same since then, but Rollo is still thriving. Below are some photos of them two.

Thank you so much Priscilla. I was the lucky one. Rollo chewed up several of Claudia’s shoes. We had a high shoe budget despite trying to hide our shoes. Now he doesn’t do it anymore.
Thank you so much JoAnna. Yes Rollo loved my shoes, but he knew he was not supposed to chew them. One time I caught him with one of my shoes in his mouth. His face looked like a deer in headlights. He turned around, slowly tip toed back, and placed my shoe exactly beside the other one where he took it, turned the right way and everything.
Wow, Thomas! I love these photos. I knew Bronco was BIG, but seeing that photo of him on Claudia’s lap made me realize that I was really underestimating what big meant. And that one of him and little Rollo is too precious! : )
Thank you so much Stacey. In that photo with Claudia he was a bit overweight, 167lbs. He was supposed to be 135-140lbs, but he lost weight, or we made him lose weight.
What a couple of gorgeous doggies 😊❤️ Thank goodness he saved the women from the peeping tom. Someone was doing the same to me in my early 20s and it was awful!! Good boy!
Thank you so much Yari. My wife was one of the victims of the peeping Tom. I am sorry that happened to you. Bronco was successful were the police and the detectives weren’t.

Wow! Dogs must have powerful impulses – hard to control on their own.

Yes I realized that they are very emotion driven and they have to learn to control their emotions.
