This blog feature amusing and heartwarming stories about our late Leonberger dog Bronco, as well as other Leonbergers. It also has a lot of information about the Leonberger breed, the history, care, training, Leonberger organizations, etc. I also wrote a Leonberger book, which I am featuring in the sidebar.
Leonberger In Online Preston Hollow Peoples Magazine
Three weeks ago, I made a post about our late Leonberger Bronco (and my book) being featured in a local Dallas magazine called the Preston Hollow Peoples Magazine. This magazine has 47,000 subscribers. In that post I posted screenshots of the printed version. Today they posted the free online version of the magazine. Click here to see the article about Bronco, my book and me. Click here to see the front page of the online version of Preston Hollow Peoples Magazine. The headline of my article can be found on the front page.

My name is Thomas Wikman. I am a software/robotics engineer with a background in physics. I am currently retired. I took early retirement. I am a dog lover, and especially a Leonberger lover, a home brewer, craft beer enthusiast, I’m learning French, and I am an avid reader. I live in Dallas, Texas, but I am originally from Sweden. I am married to Claudia, and we have three children. I have two blogs. The first feature the crazy adventures of our Leonberger Le Bronco von der Löwenhöhle as well as information on Leonbergers. The second blog, superfactful, feature information and facts I think are very interesting. With this blog I would like to create a list of facts that are accepted as true among the experts of the field and yet disputed amongst the public or highly surprising. These facts are special and in lieu of a better word I call them super-facts.

Bravo, Thomas. I left a comment on the underlying site.
Congratulations, Thomas and your efforts in using traditional means of marketing a book is a reminder for us all not to forget this! Your story touches many hearts and is fascinating to read about.
Thank you so much for your very kind words Annika. I really appreciate it. Yes for us indy authors, I think a blog and social media to spread the word is best. I checked with a company that does marketing but they wanted thousands of dollars, so I decided not to do that.
Yikes, that is far too much – you are doing a terrific job of online marketing and making lots of friends along the way. Wishing you and your book the best.
Congratulations! And if you were in my area, I’d feature you in one of the publications I write for! I’m always seeking heartfelt stories like this; anything about pets!
Thank you so much for your kind words Maryanne. Yes it’s kind of what happened, a local journalist whom I know a little bit (we had kids at the same school) saw my book on my Facebook, got it, read it, and decided to write an article. I certainly don’t say no to free publicity.
Thank you so much Priscilla and I saw you made a supportive comment on the article. Thank you so much for doing that. I should probably also ask you whether you prefer to be called Vera or Priscilla in blog comments. I never asked and I should use the name you prefer.
Congratulations Thomas! When someone is passionate and consistent about a subject and has the ability to express that with good writing, eventually there will be recognition. You clearly have plenty of that, onwards and upwards…

Annika you are right. With blogging you are making friends and that is the best part. Now I will blog with or without any book.

Ha ha, I don’t know about “internationally known” but I am very happy about the free publicity. Thank you Miriam.
